Storytelling
I tell stories about the small moments in our lives that create huge changes in who we are.
I both create and consume character-driven stories with sprawling mythologies that redefine traditional relationships and turn social institutions upside down.
The future is wide open and it's filled with stories; some of them are mine and I'm ready to tell them.
Biography
I'm a published writer and produced filmmaker with publicly recognized achievements in both realms.
At sixteen I became the youngest Editor in Chief of a national magazine, Sassy, for their first reader-produced issue.
At nineteen I founded Local Mountaineer, a regional extreme sports magazine circulated throughout the Sierra Nevada.
A decade later my film debut at the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts earned the award of Top Ten Refreshing Filmmaker by Coca-Cola.
I then founded Hysterical Films to premiere the 35mm short film, Pretty Dead Girl, at the Sundance Film Festival to critical accolades.
I currently reside in Hollywood, California with my husband and our menagerie.
Projects
I'm currently focused on publishing a young adult memoir, Boy Crazy. It's the story of my sixteenth year when I found first love and lost my mind to mental illness.
I'm also pitching original television pilots:
Me, Jane is the story of two childhood best friends suddenly reunited in their mid-thirties to reinvent themselves with the benefit of flashbacks to their adolescence.
Dallas & Lexie is the story of mismatched undercover partners in Hollywood's Vice Squad who are fighting against Red - the ultimate madame - and her House of Scarlet.
Additionally, I completed a feature film script, Merry-go-round, a romantic comedy about a girl who just can't commit and the guy who's head-over-heels for her.
